Caitlin Rose
Energy & Environment Planner, Clean Cities Coordinator

Caitlin serves as the Co-Coordinator of the Triangle Clean Cities Coalition through her role as a Planner at TJCOG. She has experience in energy policy development, air quality, and education and outreach, and previously worked for the State Energy Office of the NC Department of Environmental Quality,  where she contributed to efforts related to the Clean Energy Plan and energy policy development, youth energy education initiatives, and greenhouse gas emission inventories. 

She holds a BSPH in Environmental Health Science and a MS in Environmental Science and Engineering, both from UNC’s Gillings School of Public Health. Caitlin is passionate about interdisciplinary problem solving and public outreach related to energy and environmental issues.

Sean Flaherty

Sean Flaherty serves as Co-Coordinator for the Triangle Clean Cities Coalition through his role as Principal Planner at TJCOG. He has previously coordinated both TCC and Centralina Clean Fuels Coalition. During his tenure with Clean Cities, Flaherty has managed multiple efforts including the American Recovery and Reinvestment Act (ARRA) funded Carolina Blue Skies & Green Jobs Initiative and the North Carolina Plug-In Electric Vehicle Readiness Initiative: Plugging-In from Mountains to Sea.

Flaherty has a Master of Environmental Management from Duke University’s Nicholas School of the Environment. His work has been recognized by the American Planning Association, National Association of Development Organizations, US Council on Competitiveness and White House Office of Science and Technology Policy.

Claire Kubitschek
Triangle Clean Cities Intern

Claire joined TJCOG in the spring of 2020 as a Triangle Clean Cities intern. She has experience in web development, waste management, urban planning, and education and outreach. Claire is a senior at the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill majoring in Environmental Studies with a concentration in sustainability. Ms. Kubitschek is excited to work with the coalition and its stakeholders to increase the adoption of alternative fuels throughout the region.

Katie Horn
Sustainable Transportation Intern

Katie joined the TJCOG team in Fall 2020, through a partnership with the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill. Katie is in her Senior Year, with plans to graduate in May 2021, and she is majoring in Environmental Science, with concentrations in Climate Change and Ecology, and minoring in Geography and African Studies. She is excited to work with Triangle Clean Cities and all of their stakeholders and help move the world towards a more sustainable future in transportation.
